Rock and Roll Hall of Fame vocalist Colin Blunstone will perform in Manhattan as part of a 19-city United States tour this fall. The concert is scheduled for September 10 at Adler Hall, located at the New York Society for Ethical Culture.
The performance features a triple-bill lineup uniting two distinct eras of British music. Blunstone, the lead singer of The Zombies, and Peter Asher of Peter and Gordon both achieved top American chart positions in 1964 during the first British Invasion, while the lineup is completed by the 1980s English New Wave band The Fixx.
Tickets for the tour went on sale June 26, following the initial tour announcement on Blunstone’s 81st birthday. The singer recently concluded a 16-date headline tour of the United Kingdom and is currently working on a new solo album scheduled for release in early 2027.
Blunstone’s career includes 1960s hits with The Zombies such as “She’s Not There,” “Tell Her No,” and “Time of the Season,” alongside the band’s acclaimed album Odessey and Oracle. His solo career includes the 1971 debut album One Year, subsequent releases on Elton John’s Rocket Records label, and guest vocal performances on five albums for The Alan Parsons Project, including the 1982 single “Old and Wise.”
The upcoming tour follows a 25-year period of recording and touring with a reunited version of The Zombies alongside keyboardist Rod Argent, which included a 2019 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction and the 2023 album Different Game. The band ceased touring in 2024 due to Argent’s health, prompting Blunstone to return to his solo repertoire, which recently expanded with the 2024 EP Less Is More and the live release One Year Live and More.
