Village Halloween Parade returns with body and soul theme

The 53rd Annual Village Halloween Parade returns to Manhattan on Saturday, October 31, 2026. This year’s official theme, Body & Soul, focuses on physical expression and spiritual connection in response to an increasingly digital world.

Leading the procession along Sixth Avenue is Firehorse!, a new performance commissioned from MacArthur fellow and puppeteer Basil Twist alongside choreographer Julie Atlas Muz. The feature will lead thousands of costumed marchers up the parade route.

The event is free and open to the public, with line-up for costumed participants beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Sixth Avenue south of Spring Street. The parade kicks off at 7:00 p.m. at Canal Street and travels north along Sixth Avenue to 15th Street.

For viewers watching from home, the parade will broadcast live on NY1 starting at 8:00 p.m. Organizers are also offering paid VIP options, including skip-the-line entry, premium standing admission, and reserved seating sections.

Official weekend festivities will extend into Brooklyn on October 30 and October 31 at House of Yes in Industry City. Operating under a “House of Hallucinations” theme, the 18-and-over event will feature immersive performances and a $5,000 cash prize for best costume on Halloween night.
