The New York City-based new music collective Wet Ink Ensemble will close its 27th concert season with a performance on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. The concert is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. at Roulette, located at 509 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.

The evening will feature two world premiere pieces commissioned by the ensemble. The first is an octet by saxophone player Aurora Nealand, which serves as the culmination of her yearlong artist residency with the group. Nealand will perform the new work alongside the Wet Ink Band.

The second world premiere is a trio written for Wet Ink by Jo Kondo. The performance features flute player Erin Lesser, percussionist Ian Antonio, and pianist Eric Wubbels.

The program also includes the New York City premiere of the dectet Assemblage: Trace/Mobile by Wet Ink founding member Alex Mincek. The 20-minute piece explores themes of mobility and flexible perspectives. It begins with a collection of rhythmic objects that are continually rearranged and recombined throughout the performance.

Additionally, the group will perform Jürg Frey’s trio Paysage pour Gustave Roud. The meditative piece is written for clarinet, cello, and piano. It features performances by Madison Greenstone on clarinet, Mariel Roberts Musa on cello, and Laura Barger on piano.

The Wet Ink Artist-In-Residence program provides a collaborative platform for composer-performers to create new work and perform with the group. Past participants in the residency program include Ingrid Laubrock, Ben LaMar Gay, Carolyn Chen, and Gelsey Bell.

Tickets for the June 10 performance are available for $25 in advance, $30 at the door, and $20 for students and seniors. Additional information and tickets can be found on the venue website at https://roulette.org/event/wet-ink-ensemble-aurora-nealand-alex-mincek-jo-kondo/.
