The Chicks will bring their upcoming Taking the Long Way 20th Anniversary Tour to New York City for a two-night run this autumn. The performances are scheduled for Monday, October 12, 2026, and Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at the Beacon Theatre. Tickets for both concert dates are on sale now.
The tour celebrates the 20th anniversary of the group’s 2006 studio album, Taking the Long Way. The 13-time Grammy Award-winning band will perform the record in its entirety for the first time during this run of shows. Each concert will conclude with a selection of hits from across their full catalog.
Originally released in 2006, Taking the Long Way topped the Billboard 200 chart and earned the trio five Grammy Awards. The accolades included Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year, driven by the lead single “Not Ready to Make Nice.”
The upcoming tour kicks off at the Fox Theatre in Detroit on September 30. Band members Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire, and Emily Strayer will stop in multiple major cities, including Chicago, Nashville, San Antonio, Austin, Seattle, and San Francisco. The tour concludes with a two-night stay at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on November 1 and November 2.
The anniversary run follows the band’s July 2020 release of Gaslighter, their fifth studio album. That project was released via Columbia Records following a nearly 14-year hiatus and was co-produced by singer-songwriter and producer Jack Antonoff.
