The New York Botanical Garden is hosting a series of after-hours evening events featuring vintage liquid light projections and live music. The events run from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on select dates, continuing through June 27, 2026. The programming ties into the garden’s ongoing Flower Power exhibition.
During the events, colorful visuals created by Liquid Light Lab will project onto the façade of the Mertz Library. Steve Pavlovsky, a New York City light artist, operates the lab. His work utilizes liquid projection, experimental media, and handmade organic elements modeled after 1960s psychedelic light shows.
A different musical group performs each night on the main stage to accompany the light projections. The remaining performance lineup features Habibi on June 13, Evolfo on June 20, and Woods on June 27. T
Attendees can explore the Flower Power exhibition grounds and enter the Haupt Conservatory after hours. The event also features a Maker’s Market with goods from local craftspeople, lawn games, and a station for making friendship bracelets. Food and drink options are available on-site for purchase.
The events take place at the garden’s grounds at 2900 Southern Boulevard in the Bronx. Tickets cost $45 for the public and $35 for garden members. In the event of inclement weather, programs will move to a rain date scheduled for the following day. Ticket holders will receive notification of any weather-related changes by 2:00 p.m. on the preceding Friday.
