The New York Botanical Garden has announced its major exhibition schedule extending through the summer of 2028. The upcoming lineup includes large-scale art installations, holiday traditions, and new cultural trails across the landscape in the Bronx.
In the fall of 2026, the garden will debut its first-ever Día de los Muertos trail. This installation will feature floral displays and sculpted iconography representing the Mexican celebration of life and family. Following this debut, the winter season will mark the 35th anniversary of the Holiday Train Show.
The early months of 2027 will bring the annual Orchid Show, featuring designs from landscape artists Andy Cao and Xavier Perrot. Their work will incorporate glass, crystal, stone, and orchids.
In summer 2027, the garden will host an expansive exhibition by the artist KAWS. The presentation will feature more than 24 sculptures, including newly commissioned works and pieces that have never been exhibited in North America.
Looking ahead to summer 2028, an exhibition titled PLAY! will transform the garden grounds into a large playscape. The installation will feature interactive displays by contemporary artists, including Australian artist Cj Hendry.
The garden also offers a two-year membership program that provides unlimited visits and free admission to these exhibitions. This membership structure supports the organization’s ongoing work in plant science and conservation.
