Atlantic Theater Company has announced its programming lineup for the 2026–2027 season. Under the leadership of artistic director Neil Pepe and managing director Jeffory Lawson, the company will present four world premiere productions and one New York premiere musical for young audiences.

The mainstage season begins with I Became We, written by Mona Pirnot with music by Jack D. Coen. Directed by Sarah Benson, the production is scheduled to run from October 16 through November 15, 2026. The piece features a first-person monologue performed by a 16-person choir.

Playwright Clare Barron returns in early 2027 with Too Bad For Her, directed by Anne Kauffman. Running from January 9 to February 14, 2027, the play examines the consequences of a three-decade affair.

The third mainstage production is Old Actress by Lucas Hnath, directed by Les Waters. The play stars Deirdre O’Connell and focuses on an actor learning lines. It runs from March 18 to April 25, 2027, reuniting the creative team behind the production of Dana H.

The final world premiere is Push, written by Jackie Sibblies Drury and directed by Justin Peck. Choreographed by Patricia Delgado and Peck, the production is scheduled for May 27 through July 3, 2027. The play is set in New York City in 1976 and follows a young choreographer preparing a dance for a defected dancer from the USSR.

For young audiences, Atlantic Stage 2 will host the New York premiere of Finn, an underwater musical by book writer Chris Nee, composer Michael Kooman, and lyricist Christopher Dimond. Directed by Ryan Dobrin, the show runs from December 12, 2026, to January 31, 2027. All mainstage productions will take place at the Linda Gross Theater on West 20th Street.
